Percy and his friends also face off against Luke and his army, who are also searching for the Golden Fleece to resurrect Kronos. They manage to rescue Grover, who was captured by Luke, and eventually reach the island of Polyphemus, the Cyclops, who possesses the Golden Fleece.
In a climactic battle, Percy and his friends confront Polyphemus and retrieve the Golden Fleece. They return to Camp Half-Blood, where they heal Thalia's tree and repel Luke's attack. Percy also learns that Tyson is Poseidon's son, making him Percy's half-brother.
In the end, Percy is hailed as a hero, and Camp Half-Blood is saved. However, it is revealed that Luke has survived and escaped, leaving the threat of Kronos and his plans for world domination still looming.
